Accolades continue for Warrnambool
WARRNAMBOOL has been ranked Victoria’s third most entertaining place to live and 10th in Australia in a new national lifestyle index.

The Muval Buzzing Cities Index looked at multiple lifestyle and entertainment factors, including restaurants, cafes, nightlife, cinemas, theatres, galleries, museums, fitness facilities, outdoor recreation, recreation activities and events.
Warrnambool and the south west achieved an overall Buzzing score of 51.7, placing it behind only Inner Melbourne and Hume among Victorian regions.
“This is a fantastic result and great recognition for the many local people and businesses who help make Warrnambool such a fun place to live and visit,” Warrnambool mayor Cr Ben Blain said.
“One of Warrnambool’s real strengths is that everything is so close by.
“You can walk along the promenade, enjoy our beaches and open spaces, then head into the city centre for great dining and entertainment.

“We’ve recently adopted the new Creative Warrnambool Strategy, and the work being done in Warrnambool has been recognised by Music Australia as being among the best in the country.
“Congratulations to everyone involved in giving Warrnambool and the south west such a great atmosphere.”
The Muval Buzzing Cities Index compared 76 regions across Australia, with lifestyle and entertainment offerings counted per 100,000 residents before being converted into an overall weighted score.
