Action heats up on the beach
IT was an action-packed day both in and out of the ocean in Warrnambool last weekend when athletes took part in the ‘Battle of the Bay.’

As part of the Shaw and Partners World Ocean Series, last Saturday’s 5000 point event was hosted by the Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club.
The carnival covered the basic disciplines of swim, ski and board during a short, half-day format.
Additionally, this year the day also included boats.
On the club leaderboard, Warrnambool was sitting second on 82 points; 17 points clear of the third-placed Grange, with Ocean Grove dominating the table on 181 points.
