‘All Stars’ shine on court
KOROIT Primary School’s ‘All Stars’ basketball team has won its way through to the next round of the Hoop Time competition.
After winning their Hoop Time grand final at the ARC last Monday, Bayden, Charlie, Lawson, Jase, Davey and Patrick have now qualified for the next round.
The team, comprising year four students, gave 110 per cent during their round-robin ‘Hoop Time’ competition at the ARC stadium in Warrnambool earlier this week.
The team won its way through to the grand final where they defeated St Patrick’s Koroit by two points, 12-10.
Throughout the day the team played (and defeated) Woolsthorpe, two Port Fairy Consolidated teams and St Patrick’s Koroit.
Koroit Primary was well represented on the day, with 44 students playing across various divisions throughout the day.
Congratulations to Bayden, Charlie, Lawson, Jase, Davey and Patrick who will now head to the next round, which is anticipated will be held in Hamilton.
