An extra special Christmas
MEMBERS of the Warrnambool Men's Shed are helping to make Christmas that little bit extra special for one lucky family this year.
Seventeen businesses across Moyne Shire will share in more than $45,000 in funds through the annual Business Façade Improvement Program.
Mayor Cr Ian Smith said the annual program was a cornerstone of council’s business support program.
“This program helps businesses look their best, which helps them attract customers and in turn makes our streetscapes more attractive and appealing,” Cr Smith said.
“Funding allocated under this round of the program will be used for a range of improvements including painting, new signage, repairs to window frames and improvements to outdoor areas.
“It’s fantastic to see businesses in each of our main centres benefitting from this program and I’m looking forward to seeing the works completed and the difference they will make to the appearance and feel of our streetscapes.”
This fourth round of the program will contribute to the total value of the projects (including business co-contributions) estimated at $147,767.
Among the businesses to receive funding were:
Port Fairy – Benning Boutique $750 (façade painting), Home Grown Café $1012 (cladding, tiles and repainting), Seacombe House $750 (window frame repairs), The Stump Hotel $3750 (signage and outdoor dining improvements), Moody Plumbing $594 (façade repainting), Asphat Pty Ltd $3750 (window frame repairs), South West Makers Association $1450 (signage) and Higher State Co $3750 (fence restoration and signage).
