Bowlers head to Mildura

SOME of Warrnambool’s talented 10-pin bowlers will head to Mildura this weekend for the Senior Shield.

The tournament will run from tomorrow, Saturday October 31, through until Monday.

The men’s side, comprising Scott Dennis, Steven Sheen, Ray Fedley, Eddie Way and Shane Griffiths (supported by manager Michael Sheen) will bowl seven games on days one and two, and four games on the final day.

The ladies’ team, comprising Jo Fisher, Jenny McKane, Sharon Gore, Lisa Vale and Maureen Way (with Trish Beasley as manager) will bowl seven games on days one and two.

The Senior Shield tournament is open to bowlers from the age of 45.

This year the Warrnambool men’s team is aiming to go back-to-back after winning last year in Morwell.
