Building connection and understanding
STUDENTS at Allansford and District Primary School have created special bonds with participants from 360 Southwest.

Across four visits to the school this year, participants and students have come together to share activities, learn new skills and build lasting connections.
The visits and activities were organised as part of 360 Southwest’s Community Connections program which creates a meaningful and inclusive learning experience for everyone involved.
From playing basketball and trivia through to karate, Gaga, and even exploring the world of robotics, each visit has been filled with laughter, teamwork, and genuine understanding.
The Community Connections program aims to strengthen ties between people living with disabilities and their local community.
By working alongside school students, participants have the chance to develop social confidence, communication skills, and independence in a welcoming environment.
At the same time, students gain valuable insight into inclusion and diversity, learning the importance of empathy, respect, and connection.
This partnership highlights the power of community collaboration, showing how when people come together, everyone benefits.
The participants and students have enriched each other’s lives, helping to build a more compassionate and inclusive future for the Warrnambool region.
