Carers and staff enjoy high tea

SCONES, sandwiches and an array of treats were enjoyed by special guests at a high tea to celebrate Aged Care Employee Day late last month.

Carers and staff were recognised during Aged Care Employee Day.

Warrnambool Helping Hands manager Deidre Bidmade hosted 27 carers and staff for an afternoon of conversation, good cheer and a delicious afternoon tea.

The event recognised the dedication and compassion of those who provide care to elderly people throughout the Warrnambool district.

Ms Bidmade praised the team for the skilled and dedicated in-home care they provide to clients, applauding all employees for the dedication, compassion and kindness they demonstrate every day.

Carer Gerard Bourke spoke about the gratification and fulfillment employees experience from making a positive difference in the lives of their clients.

“With the support of Deidre, we are all so proud to work for Warrnambool Helping Hands and to bring a smile to our clients through the assistance and care we provide each day,” he said.

The high tea provided an opportunity for staff to celebrate Aged Care Employee Day, by coming together to reflect on the importance of their work within the community.
