Members of the hospital’s auxiliary have, for over 50 years, continued to raise funds to enhance equipment provided to patients across oncology, theatre, day surgery, clinical ward and outpatients areas.

“Their Christmas stall of crafts is an example of this fundraising, along with their Christmas wrapping program,” St John of God director of clinical services Leanne McPherson said.

“We’re extremely grateful to all auxiliary members for their ongoing efforts and support.”

“Our members really do enjoy this time of the year and being able to create some beautiful Christmas-themed items,” auxiliary member Jeanette Daley said.

“The stall will be in the foyer for a month and we will also have two very special days on November 11 and November 25 where people are welcome to come to the hospital and enjoy a coffee and cake for $6 or to take advantage of our gift wrapping service.

“Just bring in your Christmas gifts, or make a purchase from our stall, and we will wrap them for you on those two days for a gold coin donation.”

The coffee and cake special, and gift wrapping service, will run from 10am through until 2pm on both dates.
