Close results before the bye round
ROUND 12 of the Warrnambool and District senior football competition again saw some closely fought contests.

Courtesy of a late goal to teenager Oscar Norman, Timboon recorded a 9.8.62 to 8.11.59 win over Old Collegians at Davidson Oval.
Best for the Demons in the win were Jack McGlade, Ben Saunders and Sam Newey, with Norman and Bayley Thompson kicking three goals each.
For the Warriors, Will McConnell, Paul Campbell and Sam McKinnon were best, with McKinnon kicking three goals.
At Panmure, the home team scored an upset eight point win over South Rovers.
Matt Pratt, Tyler Humphrey and Michael Boyd were the Bulldogs best in the win, with Boyd and Lachlan McLeod booting four goals each.
Josh Bell kicked six majors for South Rovers and was named best along with Ben Oates and Kurt Lenehan.
At the Mack Oval, Russells Creek scored a 13.10.88 to 10.10.70 win over Merrivale.
Best for the Kangaroos were Sam Alberts, Richie Glover and Darcy Hoye, with Seamus Brady kicking three goals.
Sam Gleeson, Ned Bolden and Jack Johnstone were Merrivale’s best, with Nathan Krepp kicking three goals for the Tigers.
At Allansford, the home team scored a 37 point win over Kolora-Noorat, 18.15.123 to 13.8.86.
Robbie Hare bagged seven goals and Louis Herbert six in the win, with Herbert, Aiden Gordon and Kade Gordon the Cats best.
For the Power, best were Nick Castersen, Sam Uwland and Henry Kenna, with mid-season recruit Bailey Cooper kicking five goals.
Nirranda had the bye.
In the A grade netball, Old Collegians had a strong 69-42 win over Timboon.
Maggie Kline, Sienna Seabrook and Olivia Lenehan were best for the Warriors in the win, with Kline shooting 29 goals and Chelsea Quinn 24.
The Demons best were Kelly Thompson, Giaan Gration and Aysha Hollick, with Laura Rosolin shooting 23 goals and Hollick 19.
South Rovers scored a 49-33 win over Panmure.
Best for the Rovers were Meg McCutcheon, Molly Anderson and Grace Mugavin; Mugavin top scoring with 27 goals with McCutcheon and Chloe Manuell shooting 11 each.
Anna Dickson, Sophie Melican and Cheyenne Rohan were best for Panmure, with Sienna Wickenton and Marley Talbot scoring 13 goals each.
Merrivale got the points against Russells Creek with a 47-31 win.
Tahni Porter, Georgia Martin and Kelsey Perry were the Tigers best, with Chloe Lovell shooting 27 goals and Georgia Martin 20.
Best for Russells Creek were Stacy Dunkley, Reese McIntyre and Fleur Mahoney, with Molly Evans putting through 19 goals.
Allansford had a hard fought 45-35 win over Kolora-Noorat.
Jessica Rohan, Lisa Pender and Bec Mitchell were best for Allansford, with Rohan scoring 22 goals, Abbey Day 13 and Lilly Sanderson 10.
Best for the Power were Emily Forrest, Tara Elliott and Hannah O’Connor, with Elliott shooting 22 goals and Forrest 13.
At Nirranda, the Blues had a big 105-16 win over Dennington.
Thalia Coates, Charlotte Howell and Lottie Wallace were Nirranda’s best, with Howell scoring 47 goals and Steph Townsend 36.
Charlotte Dumesny scored 11 goals and was Dennington’s best along with Phoebe Stuart and Alice Peart.
The Warrnambool and District Football Netball League has this weekend off, with the season set to resume on July 11.
