ROUND 11 of the Warrnambool and District senior football competition saw a close round of matches.

At the Walter Oval, fourth placed Merrivale had a 14 point win over fifth placed South Rovers.

Jack Gleeson, Ned Bolden and Jack Johnstone were best for Merrivale in the win, with Manny Sandow, Bradley Bell and Nathan Krepp kicking two goals each.

For South Rovers, Liam Bishop, Dylan McCutcheon, and Toby Bishop were best, with Jack Hope kicking two goals.

A wildly inaccurate Timboon got the points over Panmure at Timboon with a 9.31.85 to 9.8.62 win.

Best for the Demons were Liam Loubey, Mitchell Wallace and Henry Stansfield, with Norman kicking three goals.

For Panmure, Tyler Humphrey, Tarj Anderson and Lachlan McLeod were best, McLeod also kicking four goals.

At the Noorat Recreation Reserve, Old Collegians recorded a 10 point win over Kolora-Noorat, 10.7.67 to 7.15.57.

Will McConnell, Jake Dowell and Jake Bateman were the Warriors best, with Harry White, Sam McKinnon and Nathan Wallace kicking two goals each.

Caleb Kavanagh, Nick Castersen and Justin Wallace were best for the Power, with Sam Uwland kicking two goals.

At the Mack Oval, Nirranda scored a 10.11.71 to 8.6.54 win over Russells Creek.

Nirranda’s best were Luke Weel, Hugh Giblin and Brendan Richardson, with Giblin and Nick harding kicking two goals each.

Best for Russells Creek were Andrew McMeel, Sam Alberts and Richie Glover, with Sam Kelly kicking four goals.

Allansford had the bye.

In the A grade netball, Merrivale scored a 60-25 win over South Rovers.

Georgia Martin, Kelsey Perry and Tahni Porter were the Tigers best, with Chloe Lovell shooting 34 goals and Martin 22.

Best for South Rovers were Georgia White, Meg McCutcheon, and Renae Mauriks, with Grace Mugavin shooting 11 goals.

Panmure had a 53-40 win over the Timboon Demons.

Marley Talbot shot a match high 47 goals and was named as Panmure’s best along with Sophie Melican and Steph Bant.

Laura Rosolin shot 22 goals and was best for the Demons along with Tash Hallyburton and Evie Gordon.

The closest game was at Noorat where Old Collegians scored a 51-50 win over Kolora-Noorat.

Annabel Lucas, Paige Lenehan and Hannah Garner were best for the Warriors, with Maggie Kline shooting 35 goals and Paige Lenehan 16.

Best for the Power were Tara Elliott, Jade Byron and Mahni Beasley, with Elliott shooting 41 goals.

At Dennington, Allansford scored a 101-7 win over the home side.

Best for Allansford were Abby Sheehan, Jessica Rohan and Lilly Sanderson, with Sanderson shooting 67 goals and Jessica Rohan 23.

Amber Dowd, Bridie Smith and Kelsie Ayres were best for Dennington.

The final result saw Nirranda having a 56-30 win over Russells Creek.

Bella Wallace, Sophie Adams and Montana Wallace were best for the Blues, with Adams and Steph Townsend shooting 28 goals each.

For Russells Creek, Charlotte van der Starre, Alice Cann and Fleur Mahoney were best, with Molly Evans scoring 24 goals.

This weekend’s round 12 matches see Panmure hosting South Rovers at Panmure, Timboon travel to Davidson Oval to play Old Collegians, Allansford meet Kolora-Noorat at Allansford, Nirranda has the bye in the senior football and play Dennington at Nirranda in the A grade netball, with Russells Creek and Merrivale set to clash at Mack Oval.
