Competition for anglers
ANGLERS of all ages and abilities are welcome to enter the Koroit and District Angling Club’s 2026 Carp Fishing Classic.
The classic will be held from Friday, April 10 through to Sunday, April 12 – with fish to be presented whole by 12 noon on the Sunday to Warrnambool and District Angling Club on Otway Road.
With thousands of dollars in cash and prizes up for grabs (one prize per person), and a small entry fee, this is one competition not to be missed.
A $1,000 prize will be awarded for the heaviest carp, with raffles and a barbecue lunch also on the program.
Fishing will take place along the Hopkins River and Mount Emu Creek.
