Cunnington inspires
YOUNG footballers across the district had the chance to further their skills under the watchful eye of one of the game’s most respected players earlier this week.
Junior footballers were thrilled to take part in a skills clinic with former AFL star, Ben Cunnington, on Monday night.

Former Kangaroos’ midfielder Ben Cunnington led a Red Energy ‘Born and Bred’ clinic at the Warrnambool FNC on Monday night.
Originally from Cobden, Cunnington grew up playing footy in the Hampden League and went on to play 238 AFL games.
He also won two Syd Barker medals.
Up and coming footballers (from left) Finn Smith, Jax Uzkuraitis, Lenny Graham and Monty Uzkuraitis were eager to learn from former AFL star, Ben Cunnington.
The ‘Born and Bred’ clinics are currently being held across regional Victoria.

The clinics consist of one-hour skills and drills session, followed by a question and answer session and the chance for locals to have their photos taken with an AFL great.
“Red Energy has a proud history of supporting local sport,” general manager of business development, David Holman said.
“We hope to inspire the next generation of players with an unforgettable experience.”
