Darts tournament draws strong field

DARTS teams from all over the state were in town last weekend for the Warrnambool Darts Association’s annual tournament.

Sixteen men’s teams and 12 ladies’ teams competed over the two-day event, which was held at Hopkin’s River Café at Deakin University.

Coordinators Gary Devereux and Gayle Harmsworth worked hard to ensure the event ran smoothly.

The men’s (mixed) competition was won by the ‘All Stars’, with ‘The Wanderers’ finishing runners-up.

In the ladies’ competition, ‘Girls on Fire’ took home first place, followed by runners-up ‘Twisted Banshees.’
