Clubs are now preparing for a season of full opportunity, highlighted by new signings and continued development of current players and emerging juniors as they progress through the league.

The season will kick off with the traditional Good Friday match between Merrivale and Old Collegians at the Merrivale Recreation Reserve.

It is believed this may be a twilight game, however this is yet to be confirmed.

Round one will begin on Saturday, April 11 with the grand final rematch between Nirranda and Allansford at the Nirranda Recreation Reserve.

Nirranda will host Russells Creek at the Reid Oval for a night game in round three.

As Anzac Day falls on a Saturday in 2026, at least one game has been confirmed to be played on Sunday, April 26 – with South Rovers set to take on Panmure.

Round 16 will see a Sunday game at Reid Oval between Nirranda and Merrivale.

Other twilight, night games and changes to the draw will be advised when games are confirmed between clubs, the WDFNL Board is advised and will be announced once approved.
