Organisers of the 170th Warrnambool Show, to be held on Saturday, October 25, have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure there will be plenty to see and do.

As well as the traditional sideshow alley, rides, showbags and food vans, this year’s event will see the return of Willow and Saige and ‘The Enchanted Experience.’

This was an extremely popular attraction in 2024 and with even bigger and better things planned this year, children from as young as three will enjoy some magical, free activities throughout the day.

This includes potion and wand making, sparkles and temporary tattoos, witches brew tea blending, make your own bath salts, tarot card making, a rock garden and wishing well for charity.

Outback Jack’s ‘A Cracker of a Show’ will feature the skills of the Australian stockman, with some comedy thrown in – performances have been scheduled at various times during the day, with the main show from 8pm on the arena.

Hoop Sparx will return with her amazing hoops and circus fun, and free face painting will add a splash of colour to the showgrounds.

An animal nursery, Fun Farm 2 U and Fair Dinkum Fauna will keep visitors entertained, along with a new Needle in a Haystack game.

Local community displays will be a highlight of this year’s show and visitors will once again be able to enjoy a display by the Warrnambool Model Railway Club.

For the first time, the Hamilton Medieval Re-enactment Society and South Western District Restoration Group (historical machinery, tractors etc) will also attend the show.

One highlight from the 2024 show, the shearing section, proved very popular and stewards are expecting to build on this in 2025.

With so much to see and do at the 170th Warrnambool Show, this is an event not to be missed.
