Eagles go down in prelim final

SEASON 2026 has come to an end for North Warrnambool’s under 16 footballers.

The side put on a great display of teamwork and skill during last Sunday’s preliminary final on their home ground but went down to Camperdown by just seven points.

Final scores were North Warrnambool 6.6.42 to Camperdown 6.13.49.

Best for the Eagles were Eamon Cottee, Jameson Chuck, Hugh Hunter, Luke Harrison, Jaelahn van Bruggen and Rafferty Harris.

Harrison and Hunter both kicked two majors for the day while team-mates Jameson Chuck and Campbell Johnson contributed one each.

Camperdown will face South Warrnambool in the Hampden League under 16 grand final at Mortlake’s Wilsons DC Farran Oval from 2pm this Sunday.
