Eccles wins Maurice Morgan trophy

RAY Eccles had a strong round at the East Framlingham Golf Club last weekend to take out the Maurice Morgan Trophy.

Golfers enjoyed a stroke event at the course last Saturday, with Murray Drake taking out A grade on 78-9-69.

He was followed by Trevor Blackley on 88-18-70, Leigh Chilton 86-13-73, Brett Willsher 78-4-74 and Craig Lee 80-5-75.

B grade was won by Ray Eccles on 93-25-68.

Second place went to Bryan Langler 104-33-71, followed by Harry Trigg 99-27-72, Ben Dinwoodie 109-34-75 and Robert McCann 111-36-75.

The social winner was Brett Holmes.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Brett Holmes, 6th Neil McDonald, 7th Trevor Blackley and 9th Ben Lee.

This Saturday (grand final day) will be stableford.
