The team brings elite basketball, community engagement and regional connection to the state’s south-west with a series of high performance training, grassroots clinics and a pre-season clash against the Geelong Venom.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Spirit to Warrnambool,” general manager, Dan Jackson said.

“This trip is about more than just basketball; it’s about connecting with the community, inspiring the next generation and showcasing the professionalism of our program across regional Victoria.”

Jackson also said the tour would showcase the town of Warrnambool.

“This trip is also about having our team and fans visit and experience a regional town like Warrnambool, with so much charm.”

A high performance training session was held last night (Thursday) at Emmanuel College.

The team will also host a special school holiday camp today (Friday) at the Warrnambool Basketball Stadium from 4pm-5.30pm.

This fun and interactive clinic will give ‘young hoopers’ the chance to learn from the pros.

A coaches clinic will run at the stadium tomorrow (Saturday) from 10.30am-11.30am; giving local coaches the opportunity gain valuable insights from the Spirit’s coaching staff on player development and team strategy.

Registrations are open at https://www.playhq.com/basketball-victoria/register/e1e60d

And topping off the Spirit’s trip to Warrnambool, the team will take on Geelong Venom at the stadium tomorrow night from 5.30pm.
