Families from across the district converged on Warrnambool’s Civic Green last Friday night to enjoy the annuals Carols event.

The annual Carols on the Green once again attracted a large crowd, with families enjoying the opportunity to dine outdoors on picnic rugs and sit and listen to some Christmas favourite such as O Come all ye Faithful, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, The first Noel and Away in a Manger.

The arrival of the big man in the red suit also brought smiles to the faces of many youngsters who gathered in the hope of sharing their Christmas wishes.

Cast members from Holiday Actors’ latest production, & Juliet, (which can be seen at The Lighthouse Theatre early next month) also performed on stage, as did students from Warrnambool’s Hope Studios.

As always, The Salvation Army band was popular with the crowd, as was the chance for children to decorate biscuits and have their faces painted.
