Families to benefit from ‘double donations’
THE Leila Rose Foundation will this year benefit from Beyond Bank’s ‘Double Donation’ fundraising campaign during the May Racing Carnival.

Beyond Bank will again run its annual fundraising campaign during next week’s carnival, with the foundation selected as this year’s recipient.
Now in its sixth year, the Beyond Bank Double Donation campaign supports fundraising for local charities across Australia.
In Warrnambool, the campaign will take place to coincide with carnival week – from next Monday, May 4 through to Friday, May 8.
“During this period, donations raised for the Leila Rose Foundation will be matched dollar for dollar by the Beyond Bank Australia Foundation, up to a total value of $20,000,” community development manager with Beyond Bank, Grant Howland said.
Funds will be raised through cash and EFTPOS donations available on course, as well as via QR codes linking to the Beyond Bank website for online donations.
All eligible donations made during the campaign period will count towards the matched funding.
The matching arrangement means the Warrnambool fundraiser has the potential to raise up to $40,000, significantly increasing support for the Leila Rose Foundation.
The Leila Rose Foundation offers support and guidance to families when faced with the painful reality that little may be known about the cancer affecting their child.
Faced with the possibility of no known cure, the foundation assists families to ensure that they have a complete understanding of their child’s cancer, the treatment process, and the available treatment options so that they feel empowered to make informed choices about their child’s health.
With the campaign running alongside the Warrnambool races, the Warrnambool community is encouraged to support the Leila Rose Foundation during race week, with matched donations helping deliver double the impact for the local community.
“The Leila Rose Foundation plays an important role in our community and we’re proud to support the foundation through this year’s campaign,” Mr Howland said.
“We encourage everyone who is able to donate, to do so, and we look forward to raising some vital funds next week.”
The Beyond Bank Double Donation campaign is supported by the Beyond Bank Australia Foundation, the bank’s charitable arm, which works with not for profit organisations across Australia to support local communities.
