This will be their final Emmanuel College production before they graduate.

Having spent six years performing on the college stage, the trio reflected on the friendships, experiences and memories that have made the performing arts such a special part of their school journey.

“Some of our best memories at Emmanuel College have come from being involved in productions,” they said.

Over the years, the students have performed in a range of beloved musicals, from ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Frozen’ to ‘The Sound of Music.’

While their early years in performing arts were disrupted by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, they have embraced every opportunity to return to the spotlight and share their passion with audiences.

As they prepare for their final performances, Layla, Elina and Ruby are confident the future of performing arts at Emmanuel College is bright.

“The strong number of year seven students involved in this year’s production is really exciting,” they said.

“It’s great to see so many younger students getting involved. Performing arts is definitely in good hands.”

This year’s production is a musical celebration featuring some of Disney’s most loved songs.

The students describe it as a show with something for everyone.

“It’s a really fun Disney musical filled with songs audiences will know and love,” they said.

“Whether you’re a Disney fan or just enjoy live theatre, there’s something for everyone. We can’t wait to bring it to the stage.”

As they take their final bow as Emmanuel College performers, the trio are looking forward to sharing one last production with the school community and celebrating the next generation of performers who are ready to follow in their footsteps.

‘Disney’s Dare to Dream’ will be performed across four shows on June 11, 12 and 13.
