Final home and away round
THE 12th and final home and away round of the Western Victoria Female Football League saw two matches played last Sunday
At Mortlake’s DC Farran Oval, Tyrendarra scored a resounding 13.11.89 to 1.0.6 win over Terang Mortlake.
Ashleigh Dyson, Biankah Paije Rose-Maher and Candice Down were Tyrendarra’s best, with Molly Reed and Jenna-May Bristow kicking two goals each.
Best for the Bloods were Morgan Edge, Matilda Narik and Elle Mahony, with Chloe Gaut kicking the only goal.
Warrnambool defeated Hamilton by forfeit, with South Warrnambool having the bye.
South Warrnambool finished undefeated on top of the ladder and will play second placed Tyrendarra in the second semi-final (on Sunday, July 12), with third placed Cavendish and fourth placed Hamilton to meet in the first semi-final.
At the Branxholme Recreation Reserve, Cavendish scored a 3.5.23 to 2.0.12 win over Branxholme/Wallacedale.
Lucinda Star, Sophie Herrmann and Chloe Perryman were best for Cavendish, with Perryman kicking two goals and Kirra Schultz one.
For the home team, Britney Schuller, Bonnie Farrugia-Gleeson and Rhana McCallum were best, with Farrugia-Gleeson and Jacqui Robinson kicking a goal each.
