Final week for arts funding
ARTISTS have until this Sunday to apply for a grant of up to $5,000 through Warrnambool City Council’s Community Development Fund.
The fund is an annual grant that assists local non-profit groups and individuals to deliver projects, initiatives and activities that enhance the liveability of the city and strengthen community connection.
For the first time, the community development fund is open to individual artists who hold an ABN – projects are no longer required to be managed by an incorporated group.
The key objectives are:
Projects that create inclusive and welcoming creative opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences;
Innovative projects that encourage community participation in creative activities;
Opportunities that expand knowledge, improve skill or introduce new techniques, methods or opportunities for creative expression, or increase the capacity of an organisation;
Projects that contribute to the capacity of artists or groups to deliver performances, exhibitions or programs.
