Flying high

THE skies high above Jetty Flat Reserve were a blaze of colour last weekend.

Despite the cool conditions last Saturday, many families enjoyed the chance to rug up and head outdoors to enjoy a special ‘up and away’ kite day at Jetty Flat Reserve, including (pictured) Georgia (left) with one year-old Posey and Simone with children Sonny (3), Kora (8) and Mason (10).

Families visiting the region for the school holidays joined with locals on Saturday for an exciting day of kite flying.

While some took the opportunity to purchase a new kite, others took along their own and flew them with pride – or simply sat and watched displays of several larger kites in action.

Live music kept visitors entertained while a barbecue and coffee van kept hunger at bay.
