Food donations now welcome
WITH the festive season fast approaching, and many families across the district currently struggling to make ends meet, a food drive has this week been set up at Gateway Plaza.
Sarah Porter from Gateway Plaza (right) is hoping local shoppers will support this month’s food drive.
The plaza, in conjunction with Western District Foodshare, is encouraging all shoppers who are able to spare some extra food supplies, to make a donation.
Donations of pasta, canned food, breakfast spreads, rice, healthy cereals and UHT milk would all be appreciated.
The food drive will run from October 4-10 and all donations can be left at the designated ‘drop point’ in the food court (near Boost Juice).
