Free eye screening checks
WARRNAMBOOL Lions Club volunteers are once again offering free eye screening checks for primary school children.
The club started its 2026 program with a visit to Allansford and District Primary School last Thursday.
Last year club members screened just over 1,000 children from Warrnambool, Koroit, Port Fairy, Woolsthorpe, Allansford, Terang and Mortlake.
“As always we were made very welcome at Allansford last week and we have three more schools to visit this month – then another 12 next month,” Lions member and program facilitator Sue Amos said.
“It has certainly been a very busy start to the year but we all thoroughly enjoy this program, which is very beneficial to children and local families.”
