Free session to discuss support programs
AN information session will be held later this month for those looking for support services for aged care and disability.
The free community sessions will be held at the Archie Graham Centre in Warrnambool on Wednesday, February 25.
This is an ideal opportunity to learn more about what support services are available and how to access them.
The session will include NDIS supports (who is eligible and how to access services) and aged care and support at home (understanding in-home care options).
There are many services currently available for the elderly or those suffering a disability.
This includes personal care and daily living support, community access and social participation, domestic assistance, capacity-building and independence supports, and how to make referrals or ask for support.
The session is ideal for people receiving or considering NDIS supports, older people and families exploring in-home aged care and anyone wanting to understand local support options.
Carers, support workers and community members are all welcome to attend.
The February 25 session will run from 11am until 12 noon.
