Warrnambool will join a wave of craft events across eight countries this June, as ‘My Crafternoons’ hosts a free event as part of the World’s Largest Craft Club.

For one afternoon only, Tilly Divine will become a pop-up craft cafe, bringing together local artists, makers and craft-loving community members for a Makers Meet-Up.

The Warrnambool event will be one of around 35 creative events expected to take place around the world on the same weekend.

My Crafternoons founder, Stacey Barnes, said the event was about making creativity feel social, accessible and joyful.

“Rather than our usual workshops, this is an informal, welcoming space for anyone who loves making things and making friends,” Ms Barnes said.

“You can bring along a portable creative project or just come as you are and meet like-minded people.”

The event taps into a growing global shift toward offline, community-based experiences in an increasingly digital age.

The June 28 event will run from 3pm-5p,at Tilly Divine in Liebig Street.

While the session is free, anyone interested in taking part is encouraged to register at www.trybooking.com/DMTGX.
