Grants open for shopfront improvements
BUSINESSES across Moyne Shire have an opportunity to enhance their shopfronts, with grants of up to $5,000 now available.

Moyne Shire Council’s business façade improvement program offers matched dollar-for-dollar grants for eligible businesses and property owners.
Business or building owners are encouraged to book a pre-application planning assessment to ensure they are ready to submit a strong application.
Deputy mayor Cr Myra Murrihy said the program continued to be an important way for council to support small businesses across the shire.
“This program gives business owners the opportunity to improve the look and feel of their shopfronts, which can have a real impact on how people experience our towns,” Cr Murrihy said.

“Enhancing building facades not only supports individual businesses, but also contributes to more vibrant, welcoming main streets that locals can be proud of and visitors are drawn to.
“Whether it’s updated signage, a new coat of paint or repairs, we encourage businesses to take advantage of this program to invest in their premises and their future.”
Cr Murrihy said previous grant recipients had seen positive outcomes, including increased customer interest and renewed pride in their buildings.
Applications will close at 5pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
