Great weekend for Rangers

WARRNAMBOOL Rangers senior men’s Blue side fought out a 2-2 draw with Port Fairy last weekend.

Stegla Watas, Nathan Frank and Matt Rosario were named best on ground for the team.

The senior men’s Teal side defeated Hamilton 4-0, with goal keeper Malusi Msomi named best after making several great saves.

The women’s team took on the Wolves and celebrated a 2-1 victory, with Amber Cubitt named Player of the Match.

In the juniors, the under 17s defeated Hamilton 3-1 (Logan Wythe player of the match) while the under 14 Teal side lost to Wolves Yellow 2-3.

Well done to Player of the Match Harry Obst.

In the under 13s, Rangers Blue defeated Wolves 4-nil, with Indi-Rose Meyer best on ground, and the under 13 Teal side had a 4-4 draw with Colac.

Well done to Ivy McNaughton (best player) and Liv Marsden who kicked four goals.

In the under 12, Blue defeated Grampians 8-nil.

Herbie Neagle and Mert Torun both played important roles in their team’s success while Quinton Lack was beset player.

The under 10 Blue team had a bye while the under 10 Teal side put in a great performance against Port Fairy.

Player of the Match was Eli Ngwaru and team-mate Hudson Moloney also had a great game.

In the under 8s, Blue faced Wolves Black.

Talon Sicely was named best, while Mason Dimauro displayed some great skills with the ball.
