Hare bags 12 majors

A 12 goal haul to Robbie Hare has led Allansford to a big 29.13.187 to 6.10.46 win over Panmure in round seven of the Warrnambool and District senior football competition on Saturday.

Louis Herbert also kicked five goals in the Cats’ big win at the Panmure Recreation Reserve, with Flynn Gleeson kicking three.

Hare, Rani Jamieson and Jonah Maher were best for the visitors.

Tarj Anderson, Lachlan McLeod and Tom Gedye were Panmure’s best, with Matthew Sinnott kicking three goals.

The closest match of the day was at the Mack Oval, with Russells Creek keeping their unbeaten record intact with an 11.11.77 to 11.8.74 win over Old Collegians.

Andrew McMeel, Jordan Dillon and Sam Kelly were best for the Kangaroos, with Jyran Chatfield kicking five goals and Kelly four.

Jake Dowell put through five goals for Old Collegians, with Jake O’Flynn, Jacob Lacy and Paul Campbell the Warriors best.

At Merrivale, the home team had a 28 point win over reigning premier Nirranda, 12.9.81 to 8.5.53.

Jalen Porter, Manny Sandow and Sean Barnes were best Merrivale, with Nathan Krepp kicking three goals and two each to Josh Britton, Brad Bell and Sandow.

Brock Neal kicked three goals for Nirranda, with Isaac Stephens, Brendan Richardson and Luke Weel best for the Blues.

At the Timboon Recreation Reserve, the Timboon Demons had a 14.6.90 to 11.14.80 win over a fast finishing Kolora-Noorat.

Going into the last quarter with a 44 point lead, the Demons were held scoreless in the final term with the Power kicking five goals four.

Lyndon Alsop, Jack McGlade and captain Mitchell Wallace were best for the Demons in the win, with Josh Worboys kicking four goals and Tarkyn Love three.

Best for the Power were Caleb Kavanagh, Joel Dillon and Fred Beasley, with recruit Jack Lehmann returning to the team and kicking four goals.

South Rovers had the bye.

In the A grade netball, Allansford had a 47-17 win over Panmure.

Lisa Pender, Emma Stacey and Abby Sheehan were best for the Cats, with Jess Rohan shooting 16 goals, Abbey Day 14 and Lilly Sanderson 13.

Marley Talbot led the scoring for Panmure with 14 goals.

Russells Creek scored a 67-50 win in their match against Old Collegians.

On permit from Koroit, Rebecca Hicks shot 64 goals, with Ruby Evans, Charlotte van der Starre and Jenna Cahill best for the Kangaroos.

Emily Porra, Tessa Evans and Chelsea Quinn were best for Old Collegians, with Maggie Kline and Quinn shooting 20 goals each.

Nirranda got over the line against Merrivale with a 45-44 win.

Matilda Fitzgerald, Maddie Craven and Sophie Adams were best for Nirranda, with Steph Townsend scoring 27 goals and Sophie Adams 14.

Best for Merrivale were Paiyton Noonan, Cloe O’Flaherty and Tahni Porter, with Noonan shooting 26 goals and Chloe Lovell 18.

At Timboon, Kolora-Noorat had a 53-38 win over the home team.

Ailish Glennen and Emily Forrest were best for the Power in the win, with Forrest scoring 22 goals and coach Lillie Bourke 19.

For the Demons, Brianna Gass, Taya Hanegraaf and Evie Gordon were best, with Laura Rosolin shooting 17 goals and Gass 15.

At the Walter Oval, South Rovers had a big 85-17 win over Dennington.

Jessica Jones, Ashlee Pavletich and Keira Blain were best for Rovers, with Grace Mugavin shooting 64 goals and Chloe Manuell 21.

Dennington’s best were Charlotte Dumesny, Alice Peart and Amber Dowd, with Dumesny scoring nine goals and Claudia Phillips eight.

This week’s round of matches sees Kolra-Noorat playing South Rovers at Noorat, Timboon hosting Russells Creek at Timboon, Dennington and Merrivale clash at Dennington, Nirranda play Panmure at Nirranda, with Allansford hosting Old Collegians at the Allansford Recreation Reserve.
