Heffernan strong at Fram

BLAKE Heffernan had a good round at the East Framlingham golf course last Wednesday to win the men’s scratch.

Heffernan finished on 37, ahead of Adam McLeod on 38, James Kenna 40 and Eli McLeod 40. In the men’s handicap, Tony Kenna finished on 38-4-34 and Adam McLeod 38-4-34. 

Joel Crispe took the men’s scratch handicap with 44 while the non-handicap went to Brendan Balcombe 50-16-34. 

Julie Kenna had a good round of 52 to win the ladies’ scratch while Theresa Bant took the handicap event with 52-22.5-31. 

The men’s longest drive was won by Glen Scriven while Liam Kenna finished the day with 66-22-44 to take the junior under 16 handicap. 

The junior under 16 scratch went to Hugh Kenna on 59. 

Nearest the pins: 1st Stephen Vaughan, 2nd Brent Mahony, 3rd Glen Tracey with an eagle, 4th Matt Hill, 5th Harvey Roberts, 6th James Kenna, 7th Rhys Raymond, 8th Alex White and 9th Will Kain. 

The Cally Hotel voucher was won by Josh Brown. 

Ninety-six players enjoyed the day’s events.
