Join the winter hunt!
DO you love to explore new corners of your hometown and enjoy a challenge?

The Warrnambool Winter Hunt is on once again these school holidays so why not join family and friends and set off an adventure that includes new locations, creative challenges and loads of fun.
The hunt has again been organised as a fundraiser for Woodford Primary School, with last year’s event raising $1900 towards a new GaGa pit built for students to play.
“We love the hunt because it creates an opportunity for families and friends to connect with each other and the community,” members of the parents’ committee Jodie Knell and Alison Veal said.
“We love the fun of the outdoors, creating, learning and being connected with local community. Creating the hunt invites everyone to enjoy what we already have in our backyard, with the people we love.
“We get so much reward seeing the smiling faces of teams enjoying the beach, books at the library, treats at local eats and discovering things they never knew existed right around the corner.”
Woodford mum Jacinta Hatfield said her family loves taking part in the hunt each year.
“One of the best things is searching for the hunt mascots, Woody and Platty, and scanning their various location QR codes; the kids love them,” Jacinta said.
“We look forward to the hunt every winter school holiday break. We don’t have to think of things to do each day we just open the app, find the challenge and off we go. We can do as little or as much as we like.
“We won last year and the prizes donated by local community shops and other businesses are amazing. It’s great to get out and about in your home town.”
The registration fee for the hunt is just $40 and participants can also enjoy several bonuses, with discounts, freebies and great offers along the way.
