Juniors take centre stage
WITH no senior games scheduled for the Warrnambool Rangers last weekend, the juniors were out to shine.
The senior women had a bye round while the senior derby between Blue and Teal has been rescheduled.
In the under 17s, the Rangers were defeated by Wolves 2-1.
Bailey Reed was player of the match while Connor Sargent also put in a strong performance.
Well done to Gabe Roberts and Ollie Lack who both stepped up and put on the gloves in the absence of keeper AJ Uebergang.
Under 14 Blue took on Horsham and finished with a 2-2 draw.
Rhyce Levett and Steff Van Den Heuvel each put in a strong performance while Will Farley was named player of the match.
Under 14 Teal defeated Hamilton 7-2.
Declan Membery kicked a hattrick while Murphy Keane-Ryan was named player of the match.
Under 13 Blue had a draw with Port Fairy (Darcy Roberts player of the match) while under 13 Teal defeated the Wolves 11-1.
Summer Lowe kicked a hattrick and Olivia Marsden kicked five goals and was named player of the match.
In the under 10s, Blue took on Teal in a derby under lights last Thursday.
Bridget Ambrose was player of the match for Blue while Oscar Lawlor and Reuben Knell both played vital roles in their team’s performance.
Jasper Cox was player of the match for Teal, with team-mates Sukharaj Singh and Emilio Haig both having good games.
In the under 12 competition, Blue defeated Hamilton 6-1.
Well done to Chris Vu who scored a hattrick and Jimi Angus who was player of the match.
Under 12 Teal defeated Hamilton 11-1.
The player of the match was Reuben Knell who stepped up from the under 10s.
The under 8s had a stellar game against Port Fairy.
Charlie Conn put in an impressive performance and Darcy Eagleson had a great game and was named player of the match.
