Kelly wins at East Fram

RILEY Kelly finished the day on 42 points to take out the A grade stableford at East Framlingham Golf Club last Saturday.

He was followed by Craig Lee on 37, Leigh Chilton 35, Gerard Eccles 33 and Anthony Kenna on 32.

The winner of B grade was Murray Smith on 34 points, followed by Gerard Kenna 33, Harry Trigg 33, Nic Smith 33 and Peter Sanderson 32.

Nearest the pins: 3rd (super pin) Ben Lee, 6th Leigh Chilton, 7th Shaun Giblin, 9th Neil McDonald.

The social winner was Justin Fedley.

This week will be the Ray Eccles Trophy (stableford).

The 2025/26 twilight series has begun.

The first round saw J. Atkinson win the men’s scratch with 38, while Paddy Scanlan won the handicap with 44-8.5-35.5.

Darren Hansford won the men’s non-handicap scratch with 49.

In the junior competition, Leo Beasley won the under 14s scratch with 50 while the handicap went to Jon Kelly 59-20-39.

Riley Scanlon had the longest drive.

Nearest the pins: 2nd Josh Brown, 3rd Riley Scanlon, 5th Tony Kenna, 6th Caleb Kavanagh, 7th Riley Kelly, 8th Brayden Hotker, 9th Lee Haberfield.

The raffle winner was Josh Brown.

A total of 46 players enjoyed the event.

Twenty-nine ladies enjoyed spring conditions for a round of stableford last Tuesday.

The A grade winner was Barb Hill on 31 points, on countback from Anne Grenfell, also on 31.

B grade was won by Shirley Scott with 37, from runner-up Leanne McCann on 32.

Wendy Batten finished on 32 points to take C grade from runner-up Annie Carroll on 28.

Nearest the pins: A grade Julie Mahney, B grade Maria O’Rourke, C grade Mary Brian, 3rd/12th Julie Kenna and super pin Leanne McCann.
