Late night shopping
PORT Fairy retailers are well and truly in the Christmas spirit, with many taking part in a ‘late night shopping’ event tonight.
The doors of several businesses around town will be open until 8pm tonight (Friday, November 24) with some great in-store treats, lucky door prizes and special discounts.
Late night shopping, presented by Love Local Moyne, encourages people to do their Christmas shopping at local businesses this festive season.
Moyne Shire mayor Ian Smith said the Love Local Moyne campaign was all about “celebrating the fantastic businesses in the municipality and supporting them”.
“Shoppers can discover hidden gems, enjoy exclusive deals and soak up the festive atmosphere with live entertainment and the Young Makers Market,” he said.
“Having shops open until 8pm will mean there’s abit of extra time to head out and pick up some Christmas gifts locally.
“There will be a carnival feel to the evening, centred around Fiddlers Green, which the whole town can enjoy.”
