Learn more about Parkinson’s
LOCALS will have an opportunity to learn more about Parkinson’s disease during a free community education session in Warrnambool next month.
Speech pathologists from Fight Parkinson’s Melbourne, Radha Campbell and Tanya Dahl, will host the session, to be held in an upstairs meeting room at The Flying Horse on Monday, October 5.
This free seminar will give participants valuable insights into Parkinson’s.
It will explore current and emerging treatments, and help you recognise when claims about certain therapies may be too good to be true.
The event will also feature a session from the ‘Your Care, Your Choice’ education program.
This initiative helps people navigate health and community systems, find the right support for Parkinson’s, and build skills in communicating needs, self-advocacy and making informed choices.
A light lunch will be provided, however, registrations are required for catering purposes.
