Round four of the Victorian Sprintcar Racing Association series proved a fruitful one for Veal who enjoyed a clean sweep on his way to the chequered flag, winning his heat, the shootout and topping the leaderboard in quick time.

Veal won the 30-lap A Main final, finishing ahead of Brock Hallett with Chad Ely in third.

In stark contrast to Veal, who enjoyed a clean night, Hallett’s trip to the podium wasn’t without hurdles after missing the shootout with a fuel leak.

Simpson driver Tim Rankin snared his second victory in the Jack Willsher Cup for Formula 500s and was followed by Liam Russell and Dale Sinclair.

The Junior Formula 500s also put on a great show, with Rusty Ponting winning the 12-lap final from Warrnambool’s Koby O’Shannassy and Cobden’s Hugo Chivell.

Action will return to Premier Speedway for Max’s Race on December 16.

Late Models and Junior Formula 500s will be the support classes.

Gates will open at 3.30pm with cars on the track from 5pm.
