Little aths returns to Port Fairy
TONIGHT (Friday) sees the return of Port Fairy Little Athletics for season 2025/26.
The centre will welcome back its athletes at the showgrounds track from 4.30pm and organisers are hoping to see many returning and new faces.
Season 25/26 will see the club’s new hurdles debut thanks to its generous sponsors.
“We are so grateful for the support of our brilliant local business which has allowed us to purchase new equipment and offer the best experiences for our athletes,” club member Cindy McDougall said.
“As a centre with small numbers, we have a focus on growth and personal best efforts.”
Port Fairy Little Athletics is a great way to learn new skills, keep up your off-season fitness, consolidate your knowledge of both track and field, and best of all, to make new friends.
With sessions running every Friday night from October to December, and throughout February, there are also opportunities to attend regional competitions.
These regional events allow participants the opportunity to enjoy new adventures, experiences and friendships.
“Joining little aths locally is not only a fantastic foundation sport but can build lifelong connections,” Cindy said.
