Maggie named in All-Australian side
TALENTED South Warrnambool footballer Maggie Johnstone has been named in the All-Australian under 18 girls side.
Johnstone’s selection in the team followed her outstanding form in the 2025 national championships.
“This is a wonderful achievement by an outstanding young woman,” Brooke Brown, GWV Rebels talent operations lead said.
“Maggie is exactly what you would love out of any player moving through a talent pathway program.
“Her dedication, desire to improve, her grit and determination once she crosses the boundary and her leadership is something Maggie should be very proud of.”
Johnstone plays an integral role in the Rebels’ under 18 squad and performed well during last Saturday’s clash against the Dandenong Stingrays.
Brisbane Lions Academy female head coach, Emma Zielke, was this week announced coach of this year’s under 18 All-Australian side.
