Mixed results for Rangers
WARRNAMBOOL Rangers had mixed results in round 11 of competition last weekend.
In the senior women’s competition, Rangers Blue defeated Port Fairy 3-1, with Lucy Dodson named player of the match.
The senior men’s Blue side had a bye while Teal played Wolves at Brierly and came home with a 3-1 win.
Lewis Cannon was named player of the match.
The under 17s played Grampians in Ararat and won 11-0 (Harvey Warburton kicked four goals).
Under 14 Teal played Horsham at Brierly and lost 6-2. Nina O’Kane was named player of the match.
Under 14 Blue played Port Fairy at Port Fairy and won 18-2.
Reyansh Pawar kicked five goals while Logan Wythe and Angus Yewers both scored hattricks.
Best players were Reyansh Pawar, Louie Welsh and Logan Wythe.
Under 13 Teal played Port Fairy at Port Fairy and lost 5-2.
Sophie Sutton was named player of the match.
Under 13 Blue had a bye.
Under 12 Teal played Hamilton Red in Hamilton and celebrated a strong 12-2 win.
Callum Stewart and Logan Membery both kicked hattricks and Lucas Harrington was player of the match.
Under 12 Blue played Port Fairy at Port Fairy and came home with a 2-2 draw.
Archer Coulson, Miles Reid and Hadley Boyle were best for Rangers.
Under 10 Teal played Wolves Black at Brierly.
Best players were Sukhraj Singh and Vinayak Prasad.
Under 10 Blue played Port Fairy at Port Fairy and Henry Ward was player of the match.
Under 8s played Port Fairy at Port Fairy.
Well done to James Taylor who was named player of the match.
In round 10, the Rangers under 14s had a derby, Blue v Teal.
This was originally scheduled for July 12 but changed to Friday, July 17 under lights at Brierly.
Blue won the match 2-1.
Best players for under 14 Blue were Steff Van Den Heuvel, Logan Wythe and Will Farley while for under 14 Teal it was a team effort.
