National title for Julie
JULIE Dosser is the toast of City Memorial Bowls Club.

Julie, the club’s general manager, has just returned from Perth where she played in Victoria’s winning side which took out the Australian Senior Sides Women’s Championships.
Julie, who was selected to represent Victoria following an earlier trial at Deer Park, said she was absolutely thrilled to not only represent Victoria, but to come home with a gold medal.
“I have been truly humbled by the overwhelming support and recognition I’ve received since returning from Perth,” she said.
“People’s kind words, messages and congratulations over the past couple of weeks means more than anyone could know.
“It was an absolute honour and privilege to represent Victoria at the national championships and to be part of such an incredible team that achieved something so special.”

She said the trip was an absolutely whirlwind, from travelling to Perth, to practice sessions and the intensity of competition.
“It was certainly a journey that challenged me both physically and mentally,” she said.
“There were moments of exhaustion, determination, nerves and excitement, but every bit of it was worth it.
“To come away as national champions, alongside such talented, dedicated and supportive teammates, is something I will cherish forever. “
Julie said that while winning the title was an incredible achievement, it was the friendships, laughter, camaraderie and wonderful memories made along the way that made this experience even more meaningful.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a wonderful bowls community, surrounded by people who share the same passion for this great sport”.
