Nevill wins at East Fram

BEN Nevill has taken out the A grade stableford at East Framlingham Golf Club.


Nevill finished last Saturday’s round on 42 points, followed by Trevor Blackley on 38, Ayden Bosse 36 and Craig Lee 36.

B grade was won by Jono McLaren on 39 points, with Josh McDonald second on 38 and Gerard Kenna third on 36.

They were followed by Kevin O’Burke 36 and Glenn Tacey 35.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Trevor Blackley, 6th and 7th Bernie Harris, and 9th Murray Drake.

The social winner was Ben Nevill.

The 2025-26 twilight series saw 46 players on the course on March 11.

Tony Kenna finished on 37 to take out the men’s scratch.

Greg Kelly won the handicap with 41-8.5-32.5 while Dion Podger on 47 won the men’s non-handicap scratch and Barry Suhan the non-handicap on 50-16-34.

Sharon Suhan won the ladies’ scratch on 61 while in the ladies’ non-handicap Debbie Lenehan was the winner on 66-26-40.

Jon Kelly won the junior under 14s scratch on 51.

Nearest the pins: 1st Jordan Cashion, 2nd Tony Kenna, 3rd and 4th Nick Kenna, 5th Brian Lenehan , 6th Nikki Georgiou, 7th Jim Lewis, 8th Bernie Kenna and 9th Shaun giblin.

The raffle went to Ross McLeod.

Twenty-four ladies played stroke/third round of championships last Tuesday.

A grade was won by Anne Grenfell 87-23-64 from Gwenda Malseed 87-20-67.

B grade was won by visitor, Anne McCosh, on 94-28-66 from runner-up Lyn Cook 100-34-67.

C grade went to Mary Brian 110-45-65 from Helen Evans 108-42-66.

Nearest the pins: A grade Anne Grenfell, B grade Anne McCosh, C grade Jenny Mapleson, super pin 8th Thelma Inverarity.

The nine-hole stableford winner was Di Taylor on 18 points.

Next week will be stroke/fourth and final round of the championships.
