Originally set for early May, the CBC Catch-up has been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 3.

This year’s CBC Catch-Up is set to bring old classmates together once again, offering an opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and relive the moments that helped shape lifelong friendships.

Spokesperson of the CBC Catch-Up, John McNeill, reflected on the enduring strength of the CBC and Emmanuel College community.

His ties run deep. His father Noel was a CBC boy, his son Jack among the most recent Emmanuel College graduates, with brothers and nephews also part of the same story.

For John, it’s not the name of the college or the buildings that define the experience, it’s the connections formed over generations.

“Events like the CBC Catch-Up play a vital role in keeping those bonds alive, offering alumni a chance to come together in a way that feels both familiar and meaningful,” he said.

John is especially encouraging those who attended CBC prior to 1990 to make the trip back.

“You’ll be surprised what you get out of it,” he said.

“Whether it’s rekindling old friendships or simply enjoying a drink and a laugh with someone who walked the same halls.”

Guest speaker and former student Nathan Arundell, will share his journey from life as a Rosebrook farmboy and CBC classmate to becoming chief commercial officer at Sportsbet.

His story offers a fascinating insight into where a CBC education can lead, blending humble beginnings with a career at one of Australia’s leading bookmakers.

With complimentary drinks and nibbles on offer, the evening is tipped to be a relaxed and memorable catch-up for CBC’s old boys.

The June 3 Catch-Up will run from 5.30pm-7.30pm.
