New season begins
ROUND one of the 2026 spring darts season kicked off last week...
This season sees seven teams playing each week, with the competition trialling one division only for the season.
Gary Devereux is the new president of the WDA, with Gayle Harmsworth vice-president.
Last Thursday saw Fills Ins defeat Cally Phoenix 13-2, Mixed Nuts defeated City Slickers 12-3 and Panmure Bulldogs defeated Terang Tigers 9-6.
The Vikings had a bye.
David Hall of the Fill Ins bagged himself a 180; the only one for the round.
Both David and Brendan Galloway had 19 dart games while Tom Turner had a high peg of 100, Chris Dart’s high peg was 98 and Stuart Howden had an 87.
Sam Thomas played his first game with the Terang Tigers and had a great night, winning both of his singles and managing to throw a 117.
This was a promising start to his season.
At the Panmure Hotel both David Jackway and Stuart Howden were victorious in all three of their games.
