North remains undefeated
NORTH Warrnambool remains undefeated in season 2026 after eight rounds of Hampden League senior football.

The Eagles celebrated a 34-point win over Hamilton at Bushfield last weekend, 15.13.103 to 10.0.69.
Charlie McKinnon and Adam Wines booted three majors each for the victors, while team-mates Charlie Jellie and Matthew Wines both added two goals to the scoreboard.
Among the best players for the Eagles were Jellie, Jarryd Lewis, Adam Wines, Jackson Grundy, Luke Wines and Angus Noske.
In other round eight matches last Saturday, Cobden held on to defeat neighbours Camperdown by five points, Koroit defeated the Seagulls by 42, Portland had a 32-point win over South Warrnambool while the Blues accounted for the Bloods by 19 points at Reid.
The Eagles now sit on top of the Hampden League senior football ladder, four points clear of the Koroit Saints.
Terang Mortlake, South Warrnambool and Warrnambool round out the top five – with Portland just one game outside.
In the Open netball competition, South Warrnambool is again the side to beat, sitting on top with an unblemished 8/8 and one game clear of nearest rivals, Koroit Saints.
The Roosters had a 67-22 win over Portland last weekend, with Darcy McFarlane shooting 34 goals, Emma Buwalda 27 and Molly Sevior 6.
Other round eight Open winners were Cobden, Koroit, Warrnambool and North Warrnmbool.
This weekend’s round nine Hampden League matches will see Codben host Portland, Port Fairy at home to Camperdown, Hamilton and Warrnambool will meet at Melville Oval, South will host North and Terang Mortlake will face Koroit at DC Farran Oval.
