Presentation night for darts

THE Warrnambool Darts Association held its Thursday night autumn season presentation night last weekend.

Saturday night’s event was well attended by players and supporters, with several awards presented.

The Sepp Freitag Award, given to a member who has gone above and beyond for the association, was presented to Gayle Harmsworth while the Glenn Heard encouragement award (in recognition of support and encouragement given to other players) went to Stuart Howden.

Best player awards were presented to:
Division one (men) Ron Bourke, runner-up Tom Turner.
Division one (women) Sharon Bourke, runner-up Gayle Harmsworth.
Division two (men) Wayne Hipper, runner-up Robert Brittain.
Division two (women) Julie Newell, runner-up Trish Howden.

Premierships were celebrated by Macey’s Fill Ins (division one; runners-up Mad Mac’s) and Panmure Bulldogs (division two; runners-up Vikings).
