Rangers dominate round one at home

ROUND one of Football Victoria South West saw the Warrnambool Rangers host 13 games at Brierly over the weekend.

Sunday’s fixture saw the Rangers face Warrnambool Wolves in 12 of the games, while one match was played against Port Fairy – with the home club celebrating wins in 10 games.

Players and spectators enjoyed perfect, sunny conditions – with the day kicking off at 8.30am with the new age group, under 8s, followed by two under 10 Rangers’ sides taking on the Wolves.

All teams showed excellent team work and great skills.

Under 12 – Rangers Blue def Wolves Yellow 6-0; Rangers Teal def Wolves Black 4-1.

Under 13 girls – Rangers Blue def Port Fairy 12-nil; Rangers Teal def Warrnambool Wolves 13-nil.

Under 14 – Rangers Blue def Wolves Yellow 4-2; Rangers Teal mixed def Wolves Black 5-nil.

Under 17 – Warrnambool Rangers def Warrnambool Wolves 1-nil.

Senior women – Rangers def Wolves 2-1.

Senior men – Rangers Teal def Wolves Black 4-2; Rangers Blue def Wolves Yellow 4-nil.
