Each month the repair café, at the Port Fairy Community House in Railway Place, becomes a hive of activity as locals take along a variety of items in need of attention.

One of the café’s newest volunteers, Sandra, will be available to help out with any IT problems.

Sandra has been working with IT for decades, and loves to work through issues with people.

These issues may include such things as an email that won’t work on a tablet or phone, alerts that won’t stop, or not understanding how to use a device to its full potential.

Many other ‘fixes’ will also be able to be looked at from 10am including bikes, jewellery, wooden furniture, electrical items, clothing, mechanical items and general household fixing.

Residents and visitors to the town are invited to go along and meet the friendly team, learn a new skill and give broken things a new lease on life.

The repair café at Port Fairy Community House will be open from 10am until 12 noon.

Walk-ins are most welcome or bookings can be placed on the group’s Facebook page. Repairs are offered free of charge.
