Roosters continue to dominate

South Warrnambool continued its unbeaten season with a 7.7.49 to 1.2.8 win over Hamilton at Friendlies Society Park.

Best for South were Stella Bridgewater, Soraya Kearney-Knox, Claire Logan, Kiara Dean and Molly O’Brien.

Kearney-Knox led the goal scorers with three.

Hinemoa Biddle-Maitland, Mimi Chun, Kirby Vise, Ava Cottle, Ruby Cleaver and Cleo De Jong were Hamilton’s best, with Cottle kicking the only goal for the Kangaroos.

At Tyrendarra, the home team scored a 12.11.83 to 0.0.0 win over Branxholme/Wallacedale.

Terang Mortlake forfeited its scheduled match against Warrnambool, their second forfeit in a row and fourth for the season.

Cavendish had the bye.

This Sunday sees the competition hold its penultimate round of home and away matches.

Hamilton will host Branxholme/Wallacedale at Melville Oval, with Cavendish and South Warrnambool meeting at the Cavendish Recreation Reserve.

Tyrendarra, Terang Mortlake and Warrnambool all have the bye.
